The ability to get things done: from Android engineer to manager, and beyond?
m.coderフラー株式会社, Android Engineer.
I was a late bloomer as an engineer. In 2018, at the age of 34, I started my career as an Android engineer and joined my current company in 2021. After serving as a tech lead, before I knew it, I became an Android manager, and now I am in charge of solving problems and making improvements within the engineering organization beyond Android. I didn't get to where I am today by drawing up a clear career plan. I heard that the English word "manage" means "to accomplish somehow". Looking back, I believe that accumulating the act of "getting things done" for the tasks right in front of me, not just during my time as a manager, has made me who I am today. In this talk, I would like to focus on the "ability to get things done" based on my own experiences. I hope that anyone listening to this talk can take away at least one hint to accomplish something.
